How to program Zano's Smart Settings

How to program Zano Controls’ Smart Settings for flicker-free LED dimming: a step-by-step guide

What are Smart Settings?

With LED dimming can come a number of technical issues.

Whether your lights are flickering at low level, they’re experiencing drop out, or you’re simply frustrated at having to constantly reset lighting levels, the problems you’re facing aren’t unique or uncommon – but what if we told you this one thing could solve 99% of those common issues you may be facing?

Introducing Zano’s Smart Settings. Technology exclusive to Zano Controls, and programmed into every Zano dimmer, Smart Settings are (according to one of our trusted electricians) “the easiest setting to program an LED dimmer”.

With Smart Settings, you can set your minimum and start level pre-sets to prevent flicker and drop out, and to enable your lamps to turn on at the level they were last dimmed to. They even have a boost function built in, so if you left your lamps on at full brightness before pushing to turn off, the lamps will reach full brightness again at switch on.

How do I program Zano's Smart Settings?

What’s better? Programming is simple, and you can do so in just 10 easy steps.

  1. Turn on the controller
  2. Turn the controller fully clockwise, then press to turn off.
  3. While off, turn the controller fully anticlockwise.
  4. Press to turn on. The lights will now flash to indicate that you are in programming mode.
  5. Turn the controller clockwise to bring on the lights and choose your desired minimum level.
  6. Let go of the controller and wait for a flash. The minimum level has now been set.
  7. Turn controller to the desired start level.
  8. Let go of the controller and wait for a flash. The start level has now been set.
  9. The lights will now come on at maximum brightness. Turn the controller to a different maximum if preferred.
  10. Let go of the controller and wait for a flash. Your dimmer is now programmed and ready to use.

Please note: All settings will be retained even in the event of a power cut. To reset, just start the programming sequence again.
